The Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced on Monday the completion of the electronic linkage for all procedures related to projects financed by the National Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Development, as part of the state\u2019s strategy to achieve comprehensive digital transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Marwa Al-Jaidan, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the initiative comes within the framework of the ministry\u2019s continued efforts to enhance the business environment, simplify procedures and reduce reliance on paperwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Al-Jaidan explained that this achievement aligns with the ministry\u2019s vision to unify and integrate government systems to better serve entrepreneurs and project owners. The new system enables the electronic issuance, renewal and tracking of commercial licenses, eliminating the need for manual documentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She added that the electronic linkage is designed to safeguard public funds, given that these projects are financed by the National Fund. Accordingly, all related procedures will now be carried out exclusively through the Fund, which serves as both the financing and supervisory authority for their implementation. Al-Jaidan emphasized that the measure strengthens transparency and ensures joint oversight between the ministry and the National Fund, guaranteeing that financial support reaches the intended beneficiaries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She further noted that a dedicated electronic interface has been allocated to the National Fund within the ministry\u2019s systems, covering ten business activities under the Fund\u2019s supervision. These activities include business incubators, innovation centers, and business accelerators. \u201cAll procedures related to these activities\u2014whether for establishment, renewal, cancellation, or approval\u2014will now be completed electronically and without the need for any paper-based transactions,\u201d Al-Jaidan concluded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
