Princess Sarah bint Mashhour, the wife of the Crown Prince, made a generous donation of SR10 million to the Children with Type 1 Diabetes Support Fund, launched by the Saudi Health Endowment Fund. This marked World Diabetes Day, observed annually on Nov.14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The donation aims to enable children with type 1 diabetes to access the latest care and treatment, improve their quality of life, and alleviate the suffering of their families. This generous donation is an extension of the humanitarian role of the Princess in supporting health and charitable initiatives that serve the most vulnerable groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On behalf of himself and all members of the Fund, Minister of Health and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Health Endowment Fund Fahd Al-Jalajel expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to Princess Sarah bint Mashhour for her generous donation. He commended the Princess\u2019s continued generosity and noble humanitarian initiatives, which reflect the deeply rooted values of Saudi society and the spirit of solidarity and giving that enjoys the support and patronage of the wise leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Al-Jalajel emphasized that this generous support will have a tangible impact on developing healthcare services for children with diabetes and will serve as an incentive to strengthen community partnerships and empower charitable healthcare work, in line with the Health Endowment Fund’s objectives of improving quality of life and achieving sustainable development in the health sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Health Endowment Fund said that Princess Sarah bint Mashhour’s initiative will contribute to providing modern insulin pumps, which are among the advanced treatment solutions that enable children with diabetes to lead confident and safe daily lives, ensuring improved health and supporting their families in managing the demands of the disease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is worth mentioning that the Children with Type 1 Diabetes Support Fund comes as an extension of the Fund’s efforts to support the most vulnerable groups through specialized awareness, treatment, and technical programs, and effective partnerships with the health and non-profit sectors. In its initial phase, the fund aims to support 600 children annually by providing advanced insulin pumps, which represent one of the latest treatment options for controlling blood sugar and reducing the need for daily injections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These efforts have contributed to providing health services to more than 3,000 beneficiaries in various regions of the Kingdom through 26 associations and 26 specialized projects.
